Have you ever wondered why God made people? I ponder that question all the time. The earth was great before people arrived on the scene. Maybe I could blame it all on Adam. I don’t know, but before Adam, the earth was a garden and now…………it’s a garden full of trash – in the sea, on land and even in the air. Not only that but some people don’t like other people, and so they trash the world with words.
All this came to me last week as I drove to the doctor’s office. I was running late, so consulted my GPS to find the quickest way to the WVU medical offices off the connector — a mere 2 miles away. But as I pulled out of my alley, the car veered to the left (as usual when going to town), rather than turning right to go over the hill. Furious with the car for turning left instead of right, I realized there was no sense in turning around. Going by the GPS directions, I would only sit at one light and turn right at the other light with far less cars filled with people. But going to the left meant I had to maneuver through the High School traffic (young size people) and sit at two lights before turning right at the third light. And to top my day off, some of those people were driving slow, as if everyone had plenty of time to waste!
School traffic, then slow drivers, then two lights, I was getting later and later and sick of all those people in my way. I began to wonder why God didn’t just create me and let me help create my friends and we would populate the earth. Oh, how perfect the world would have been, but no, it had to be God’s way!
